The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Haulage Superintendent to oversee the haulage operations at our Onslow Iron Project. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills, and have extensive experience in haulage logistics and management.

This is a permanent full-time position, based on an 8D 6RR roster at Onslow Inland.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing daily haulage operations to meet production targets, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of materials
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring logistics strategies to optimise workflow and minimise delays
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including both MRL/CSI and project-specific safety expectations, as well as industry standards
• Clearly communicating specific responsibilities, discussing leadership expectations, and identifying support and resources to meet these requirements
• Reporting any issues that impact or have the potential to impact production outcomes, escalating critical issues as per reporting protocols
• Addressing and resolving any logistical issues or emergencies that may arise
• Fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale by utilising the team’s diverse skills and talents

What is required
Our ideal candidate will bring:

• Proven experience in haulage operations, logistics, and stakeholder communication
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and safety standards
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet operational deadlines
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Valid driver’s licence, Schedule 26 and any other required certifications
• Current Australian work rights
