About Onslow
Our Onslow Iron project is set to redefine mining in Western Australia through world-first autonomous road trains, industry leading dust free transport and innovative transhipping.
Taking shape 150 kilometres east of Onslow, the project will ship around 35 million tonnes of iron ore per year and is expected to have a mine life of more than 30 years.
The project encompasses the Ken’s Bore mine (approximately 150km from Onslow), Truck Maintenance Facility and Onslow Port infrastructure.
The Opportunity:
We're seeking an experienced Integrated Scheduler who will play an integral part of our team. This role suits individuals with high level organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and substantial experience in supply chain optimisation and fleet management. This role will be liaising and collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth operations, while complying with safety and regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing Resources: Allocating the fleet as per the requirements and making sure all vehicles are in good working order.
- Scheduling Operations: Create, manage and optimise detailed project schedules for the supply chain. Assigning tasks to drivers and operators, scheduling and optimising their routes, and ensuring the tasks are performed within the set time frame. Responding swiftly to changes in schedule, maintaining optimal fleet performance.
- Monitoring Performance: Continuously monitoring the execution of tasks, and the performance of drivers and equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving challenges in supply chain schedules and operations. Track project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables, updating the schedule as the project evolves.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all operations for analysis and future planning.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with various teams (engineering, maintenance, processing and construction to incorporate their inputs in the overarching schedule.
- Uphold the company’s core values in a positive manner.
What will you bring:
- Proven experience as a scheduler; mine operations scheduler, shipping scheduler, fleet scheduler or logistics scheduler.
- Highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Data analytics and systems background (process engineering) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in logistics and scheduling software.
- Solid understanding of mining operations and transport logistics.
- Outstanding positive communication skills, both written and verbal.
