The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Trainer to support MinRes Operations by auditing, planning, and improving Perth site training processes. You will assist Compliance Trainers, Authorised Assessors, and site departments, and help address training and assessment gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of training and assessment methods (Nationally Recognised Training, VOCs, Familiarisations etc.)
- Mentor and support participants in Trainer and Assessor Pathway programs
- Work closely with the Training Supervisor to coordinate and facilitate effective site training and assessment
- Advise site leaders on using Power BI, training systems, and reporting tools to guide decision-making
- Observe training delivery, provide constructive feedback, and drive continuous improvement
- Build strong partnerships with site leaders and management to proactively identify and respond to training needs, especially during new equipment rollouts, incident reviews, or mobilisations
- Identify and implement opportunities to internalise training, maximising cost-efficiency
- Collaborate with the Corporate Training Team to align site practices and standards
- Ensure compliance with evolving VOC and training requirements for new equipment and processes
What You Will Bring
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or newer)
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence (minimum)
- Highly desirable: National competencies in confined space, gas testing, working at heights, First aid/ CPR, Load/Unload Goods and Secure Cargo, Demonstrate First Attack Fire, IT, Telehandler, Skid Steer and High Risk Work Licences (cranes, rigging, dogging, scaffolding, EWP, forklift)
- Hands-on Mining or Processing industry experience
- Proficiency with Training Management Systems
- Proven ability to develop training materials and support staff development
- Strong Microsoft 365, Word, and Excel skills
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Demonstrated experience in reporting and preparing training documents
